For Mr. Brad teaching has always been a calling. In 2013 he completed his MA in education with a certificate for Montessori and began his career bringing school to life for children. In the Montessori school setting the teachers are usually referred to with an honorific and their first name and pretty soon an entire community knew Brad Choate as Mr. Brad.

His natural kindness and gentleness magnetizes kids to him and he has often been listed as a favorite teacher. He is an expert at putting people at ease and allowing them to feel safe and supported.

In 2022 he moved from a full time role in the classroom to a tutor within the school working with students one-on-one, in pairs, and in small groups teaching reading concepts and strategies using the Orton-Gillingham and Phono-Graphix methodologies.

At the same time he began private tutoring in math, helping students reach beyond their grade level and get excited for their future of learning.

In June of 2024 Mr. Brad and his family made a move from Maryland to Massachusetts and he is looking forward to supporting many more children in their bright academic future here in Concord, MA.
